THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON BELOW FOR MORE INFORMATION ON DODGER Please meet a wonderful gentleman by the name of Dodger. He's about 6 years old and a survivor. Dodger originally entered the foster program at Noble Shepherd Rescue 3 years ago with a "healed" paw injury. It was clearly causing him pain, which resulted in some very negative behavior. They decided to amputate one of his back paws and it was like a different dog. His former foster mom said he recovered very quickly and was able to maneuver easily with out help. Technically, he is handicapped but we think he is handicap-able. There is nothing he can't do that a 4 legged dog can Dodger has suffered from chronic ear infections as well. He also recently had his spleen removed. Apparently, just over a year ago another vet felt a mass. When I took him in for his ears Dr. Mercer from South Park Animal Hospital in Charlotte, NC felt it there as well. He recommended removing it and sending off for biopsy Thank God and all the angels who care about Dodger because he was scheduled for surgery less than a week later. A week after that the results came back that is was a benign enlargement. However, his spleen was twice the size it should have been so it had to have been putting pressure on his intestines and organs Dodger is doing magnificently now and seems to have more energy. Once his ear infection is gone he will be available for adoption. He really wants a home with a person who will want him to lounge on the sofa with them and let him sleep next to them at night. Dodger is a true ladies man too! He is neutered and up to date on all his shots as well as preventatives For more info on Dodger, please contact Alex at alexstrain77@aol.com
