Polly is a wonderful 1 year old lab mix. She was found as a stray, underweight with a broken left hind leg. She has since had surgery to repair the leg (which is in the process of healing), and she is gaining weight and thriving. Polly has a wonderful personality she is very playful and loving, and wants nothing more than to be near her family. We think that the perfect family for Polly will be one that has past dog experience, and will be willing to bring her to obedience class. She is very energetic and athletic (broken leg and all), and she will need a home with active people that want to make her a part of all that they do. A family that loves the outdoors will be perfect for her once her leg is completely healed she will make a wonderful hiking partner. Polly LOVES other dogs. she actually might love them a little too much. She can become a little too much for some dogs to handle, so if you have a resident dog, they will need to meet. We are requiring that any children in the household be over the age of 12, because of her exuberant personality and size. Polly puts a smile on the face of everyone that she meets, and she is going to be a wonderful family companion Because Pollys leg is continuing to heal, arrangements can b e made to meet Polly at her foster home.
