e-Support Help Desk Analyst
We have been retained by our client in their search for a Desktop Support Representative. This is a contract opportunity located in Rochester. Salary is $15-$16/hour. This position is expected to last at least 5 months.
Essential Job Functions:
* Assist customers over the phone with technical issues related to external facing web sites including account administration
* Will act as a liaison between internal department representatives and external constituency group representative to validate registration and security process
* Involved in the maintenance of procedures, profiles and access of lists for constituency groups
* Contributes to development of new releases and key efforts
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
* Maintains positive interactions with key customers
* Effective coordination of efforts between departments and internet users
* Excellent record keeping, highly organized and detail oriented
* Meeting timelines and release schedules
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulatory compliance issues as they exist and change from time to time
* Performs other related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
* Associates degree in business or technology or equivalent professional experience
* One to three years of work experience in customer-focused environment with strong technical (PC and Internet) aptitude. Help desk and/or training experience a plus
* Strong PC skills including the demonstrated ability to touch-type and enter detailed information into a ticketing system while interacting with customers on the telephone
* Strong problem solving skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently, prioritize and meet time sensitive deadlines
Computer Skills:
* Proficient skills with MS Word, Excel, Internet Explorer and Outlook
* Solid working knowledge of desktop PC terms, concepts and operations
* Familiarity with Web-based applications and concepts including a solid understanding of web browsers, user of bookmarks and website addresses, etc.
* Experience with Remedy or a similar trouble-ticketing application is a plus
* Microsoft or Held Desk Certifications a plus
